Plantations J. Eglin is a major employer in the regions where it operates, with around 2 448 employees, including both national staff and foreign workers from neighbouring countries.
At its production sites, employees are provided with free accommodation, electricity, and drinking water from wells. Employees and their families also benefit from 80% medical coverage.
Between 2018 and 2020, the company invested in the construction of 180 additional housing units for its staff, bringing the total number of housed workers to 719.
Beyond its direct workforce, Plantations J. Eglin invests in supporting local communities. It contributes to education by building and equipping primary and nursery schools, as well as constructing housing for teaching staff. In addition, it supports security in surrounding localities by providing material assistance to local security forces.
